The Intercomp TL8500 Tension Link Scale is a rugged, high-capacity digital dynamometer engineered for overhead lifting, force measurement, and load monitoring applications. With models ranging from 1,000 to 160,000 lb, the TL8500 is Legal for Trade (NTEP Certified) and designed to deliver precise, verifiable measurements in demanding industrial and commercial environments. Its lightweight, high-strength aluminum construction and shock-mounted electronics provide both durability and portability, making it suitable for crane operations, proof load testing, and tension monitoring where safety and accuracy are critical.
Built with operator convenience in mind, the TL8500 features a bright LED display that can be read from a distance, even in low-light or outdoor conditions. The scale includes a rechargeable battery pack that provides hundreds of hours of operation, reducing downtime for recharging. A standard wireless remote control gives operators the ability to zero, tare, and capture peak loads safely from the ground — eliminating the need to access suspended equipment. The TL8500 is designed to work seamlessly with Crosby shackles, which must be purchased separately by capacity range. This ensures customers can select shackles tailored to their lifting requirements while keeping the base scale portable.

Shipping & Delivery
LTL Freight Shipping
Delivery Method
This product is shipped by Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) freight because it is too large or heavy to be shipped by standard parcel carriers such as UPS or FedEx. LTL freight shipments are delivered by professional freight carriers.
Processing Time
All orders are processed within 1–2 business days before being released to the carrier. You will receive tracking information as soon as your order ships.
Delivery Timeframe
Transit times for freight shipments are typically within 1–15 business days, depending on your location, carrier schedules, and regional variations. This timeframe accounts for possible delays caused by weather, carrier availability, or delivery to more remote areas.
Delivery Options
-
Dock Delivery
Dock delivery is the correct choice if your business has a loading dock or forklift available. For example, warehouses, distribution centers, and manufacturing facilities that regularly receive palletized shipments would use dock delivery. This is generally the most efficient and cost-effective option.
-
Liftgate Delivery
Liftgate delivery is required if your location does not have a loading dock or forklift. The truck will be equipped with a hydraulic lift that lowers the pallet safely to the ground. For example, if your delivery address is a retail storefront, veterinary clinic, or residential area without unloading equipment, you should select liftgate delivery. This option ensures that your shipment can be safely unloaded at your location.
Choosing the correct option at checkout is essential to avoid delays and to make sure the carrier can deliver your order smoothly. If you are unsure which option applies to you, please contact us before placing your order.
Shipping Charges
The exact shipping charge for this product will be displayed at checkout before you complete your purchase. The amount may differ depending on whether you select dock delivery or liftgate delivery.

Returns
The following Intercomp-specific return terms apply in addition to Titan Scale USA’s standard policies. Where there is a difference, the Intercomp-specific terms listed here will take precedence.
Titan Scale USA is an authorized dealer of Intercomp products. As the retailer, we facilitate your purchase and provide customer support, but the full manufacturer’s return policy is provided directly by Intercomp. This ensures you receive clear and consistent terms that reflect the manufacturer’s standards.
Standard Intercomp equipment may be returned within thirty (30) days of delivery, provided that the product is unused, in substantially the same condition as when shipped, and accompanied by a Return to Manufacturer Authorization (RMA) number. Returns without an RMA number will not be accepted. Customers are responsible for return freight charges.
Intercomp applies a restocking charge on all returns. The minimum restocking fee is fifteen percent (15%) of the purchase price, with higher fees possible if the equipment has been damaged, incorrectly specified, or requires significant work to restore it to resale condition.
No returns are accepted for special order, custom, unusual, or modified items. In addition, any partial or complete order that is cancelled prior to delivery is subject to a minimum cancellation fee of fifteen percent (15%).
To initiate a return, customers must first contact Titan Scale USA for assistance. We will help you coordinate directly with Intercomp’s service department to obtain the required RMA number and provide instructions for preparing the shipment. All returns must include the RMA documentation and have the RMA number clearly marked on the package.
Warranty
The following Intercomp-specific warranty terms apply in addition to Titan Scale USA’s standard policies. Where there is a difference, the Intercomp-specific terms listed here will take precedence.
Titan Scale USA is an authorized dealer of Intercomp products. As the retailer, we facilitate your purchase and provide customer support, but the full manufacturer’s warranty coverage comes directly from Intercomp. This ensures you receive the highest level of protection and service, backed by the original manufacturer.
Intercomp provides a limited warranty that covers defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one year from the date of shipment. For non-electronic products, the warranty period is ninety (90) days from the date of shipment.
This warranty is limited exclusively to the repair, replacement, or credit of defective original equipment manufactured or supplied by Intercomp. Coverage does not extend to labor, materials, or service charges involved in the removal or installation of equipment. The warranty applies only to the dealer’s initial customer and is not transferable in the event of resale.
Warranty coverage will not apply to equipment that has been repaired or modified without authorization from Intercomp, has been subject to misuse, negligent handling, improper installation, accident, fire, water damage, or other acts of God, has serial numbers that have been altered, defaced, or removed, or has not been installed or used in accordance with Intercomp’s recommendations and specifications.
To obtain warranty service, customers must first contact Titan Scale USA for assistance. We will help you coordinate directly with Intercomp to receive a Return to Manufacturer Authorization (RMA) number. Equipment must then be returned freight prepaid to Intercomp’s service facility in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Warranty repair of product by an authorized dealer, when approved in advance, will be reimbursed at a prevailing rate established by Intercomp.
Intercomp reserves the right to incorporate design or material improvements in its products without obligation to retrofit previously manufactured equipment.
