Warranty
Cardinal Scale - Limited Manufacturer Warranty
At Titan Scale USA, we stand behind the quality of every product we sell. However, please note that warranty coverage is provided directly by the manufacturer, in this case Cardinal Scale Manufacturing Company, and is subject to their specific terms and conditions outlined below.
If you purchased a Cardinal Scale product from us, you are covered under Cardinal's manufacturer warranty, not a Titan Scale USA warranty.
Warranty Overview
Cardinal Scale Manufacturing Company warrants its products against defects in materials and workmanship. Coverage terms vary depending on the product type.
Key Conditions of Warranty Coverage
This warranty applies only to the original purchaser of the product. The warranty period begins on the date of shipment from Cardinal Scale. Equipment must be installed and continuously maintained by an authorized Cardinal or Belt-Way dealer. It must also be properly grounded in accordance with Cardinal's specifications.
The warranty becomes void if the equipment has been tampered with, defaced, or modified without Cardinal's written approval, or if the serial number is missing, altered, or illegible.
Damage occurring during transit is not covered by the warranty. Claims for transit damage must be filed directly with the shipping carrier.
Warranty Coverage by Product Type
- Hydraulic load cells include a lifetime limited warranty for damage caused by water, lightning, and voltage surges.
- Scale structures are covered by a 1-year warranty.
- Components constructed from stainless steel are covered under warranty.
- Devices must be rated NEMA 4 or higher, or have an equivalent IP rating, to qualify for coverage.
- Load cell kits must be installed in strict accordance with instructions or coverage may be voided.
Warranty Exclusions
- Consumables, damage due to abuse or improper voltage, weather or water exposure, and acts of God.
- Third-party equipment not made by Cardinal.
- Consequential damages, loss of profits, delays, or integration issues with non-Cardinal products.
